I believe schools should be managed at the state and local level. When the federal government comes in with a top-down, one-size-fits-all approach students do not receive the quality of education they need and deserve. Working with parents, each community should have the freedom to develop and implement curriculum that is important to them. I stand firmly against the Common Core, because I believe the only common curriculum or standards we should be teaching more of in our schools is the Constitution of the United States.
